One Day at the Timlalin Dunes: Three Sample Itineraries

An adrenaline morning, a slow sunset afternoon or the full day — three ways to plan your trip from Agadir.

The Timlalin Dunes offer enough variety to fill an hour or an entire day. Because each activity is short — a quad ride lasts about an hour, a camel ride around 40 minutes — it is easy to combine several. These three sample plans show how visitors typically shape their day. Timings are indicative and are always confirmed with you when you enquire.

Itinerary 1: the adrenaline morning

Ideal for active travellers, groups of friends and anyone who wants to be back in Agadir or Taghazout by lunchtime.

  • Morning: pickup from your hotel and drive north along the coast
  • Quad biking: around one hour across the dunes with ocean viewpoints
  • Sandboarding: as many runs as your legs allow on the steep dune faces
  • Late morning: return to your accommodation, sandy and happy

Itinerary 2: the relaxed sunset afternoon

A gentler plan for couples, families and anyone who prefers atmosphere over adrenaline.

  • Mid-afternoon: drive to the dunes as the heat softens
  • Canyon tour: a 35–50 minute guided walk among sculpted rock walls
  • Camel ride: about 40 minutes through the golden dunes
  • Sunset tea: Moroccan mint tea as the sun sinks into the Atlantic

Itinerary 3: the full Timlalin day

For those who want to experience everything the coast has to offer, from fast rides to a quiet evening under the stars.

  • Morning: quad bike or buggy ride across the dunes
  • Late morning: sandboarding session
  • Lunch and rest: in Taghazout or Imsouane, or with a picnic you bring yourself
  • Afternoon: canyon tour, then a camel ride
  • Sunset: mint tea on the crest of a dune
  • Evening: Moroccan dinner in the dunes before the drive home

Tips for combining activities

Alternate energy levels: a physical activity followed by a calm one keeps everyone happy, especially in mixed groups. Leave a little slack between activities for photos, water breaks and simply enjoying the view.

When you send your enquiry, list every activity you are interested in, the number of people and their ages. We then propose an order and timing that works for your group and the time of sunset on your date.

Frequently asked questions

Can I do several activities on the same day?

Yes. Most activities last between 40 minutes and an hour, so it is easy to combine two, three or more in one visit.

Is half a day enough for the Timlalin Dunes?

Half a day is enough for one or two activities, such as quad biking and sandboarding, or a camel ride with sunset tea. A full day lets you add the canyon tour and dinner.
